I offer a trust and feel based approach to horsemanship and training. If you’re looking for guidance with a horse you are experiencing difficulties with, or if you are simply looking to get your horse started, I would love to help!

I also offer Equine Bodywork following the Masterson Method. What is Masterson Method? What is Equine Bodywork? Bodywork can be described as a hands on therapeutic approach to releasing tension and soreness in the body by helping the bodyโ€™s fascia, soft tissues, nervous system, and more.

If you ride your horse regularly, or if youโ€™re beginning to notice that they seem off, please consider equine bodywork today. (Equine bodywork does not replace veterinary help. If your horse is having an emergency, please contact a veterinarian.)

Why Bodywork and Training make the ultimate combination. The fact of the matter is, is that horses are masters of hiding their pain and restriction. Training can only take a horse so far into their health or athletic potential before areas of soreness and restriction need to be addressed before performance can improve. Combining bodywork and training together also helps prevent the horse from developing further soreness from exercise. It can even help us identify issues with stride, saddle fit, balance, and mechanics.

It is very common for horses to fall asleep during their bodywork session! Masterson Method uses a gentle approach that reads the responses of the horse to stay beneath the brace response. In this state, horses tend to let go of all of what’s been bothering them. That can manifest in many different ways! Improvement is almost always found after even a single session.

The lineage and style of horsemanship I study from utilizes feel, release, and the proper timing and placement of one’s core energy to shape the horse into a dependable friend and partner. If possible, I avoid the use of whips or any means of pressure to encourage the horse.

Tell me about your horse.
